This has been a long time coming for me, and this will be probably the last I mention of Cloudflare for a very long time. This post will detail my reasons for leaving, what it took to get here, and what is changing with this website as a whole. It's been a drain on me for a very long time, since the way I wanted to do things was very particular, but I am comfortable at this stage taking off.
This week has been a very weird week. A few days ago, eMudhra's private key was leaked. It's private key was revealed to be the value 4; yes, the actual integer four. With this knowledge, it would be fully possible for someone to sign a valid SSL certificate and make it appear valid to the gigantic trust chain system, meaning anyone who employs an eMudhra certificate would fully believe a forged certificate.
Hello! Welcome to the new site. In this I will cover the changes we are undergoing currently.
I haven't taken much time to sit down and write anything here for a while. I am on a new work schedule, so my after-work hours are usually a little drained. I said I would write more openly about things I am actively engaged with as far as projects, but I don't have a main project focus currently as there's too much going on in real life to think about big projects in that sense. Respectively, everything I write here on out may be considered skill enhancement learning so I can better my knowledge in various weak spots.
I'm back. Sorry for the delays. You'll see very quickly why things have been so quiet.
I've talked about the S10e before, a Thinkpad-style Lenovo netbook powered by an Intel Atom. It's an old piece of hardware, doesn't offer much on paper for performance, and realistically has no use in the future here on out. It's about sixteen years old, and only getting older with each passing day.
My XP-Pen Artist Pro 13.3 has been a reasonable source of headaches for a long time since swapping over to Guix as a full-time system. I thought this might be the most appropriate place for me to discuss the depths of which I've traveled to the bottom of to arrive at my final solution. Join me for the dumbest journey possibly ever seen.
I am coming up on the eight year anniversary of my first-ever used Thinkpad purchase. What makes this so special? Well I guess there's a number of reasons why I'm talking about this huge brick yet again, and what brings me to the point of this post.
I honestly have not been around much as of late. A lot of things have been going on, and my April has been filled with family tragic events, to the point that it had an effect on my mental mood. I wasn't programming or writing much of anything for the last few weeks.
Last month, I finally picked up my copy of House of Leaves and read it fully within a week. The rabbit hole I am soon to describe is slightly related to House of Leaves, though I will not talk about it since I don't think I could really do it justice. Instead, I'd like to talk about a Doom game modification called MyHouse.wad.
